Monochromatic Lights
The standard monochromatic light uses a helium light source of 23.13 millionths
wavelength that will form bright, sharp fringes on almost any surface which is flat
and reflective, and are available in sizes that allow for observation ofparts up
to 12 inch in diameter.
Using the correct monochromatic light can increase acuray in measurement ofpolish
