Inspection & Calibrations Services
Our
state of the art Dimensional Metrology Laboratory is available to calibrate your
gages. Tractability to the National Institute of Standards & Technology is assured
by our computerized gage recalibration system which schedules the standards your
gages are compared to for regular recalibration against the latest standards from
the NIST. We are prepared to inspect your gages promptly. Replacement gages are
recommended where necessary.
A Certificate of Calibration is furnished with each
set of gages inspected, stating that the gages have been inspected by comparison
with Master Gages traceable to NIST and listing the size of each gage and the traceable
NIST test Number.
levels of Certification are available from Van Keuren:
- Certificate Of Accuracy - Imprinted on all Standards and Measuring Wire Labels. A general statement that gages have been inspected by comparison against gages traceable to the National Institute of Standards & Technology. This certificate is not referenced to a specific order, or gages. No Charge.
- Certificate Of Conformance (Compliance) - This certificate states that a specific gage or set of gages has been inspected by comparison with Master Gages traceable to the National Institute of Standards & Technology and found to be within the required tolerance. This certificate does not give exact size.
- Certificate of Calibration - As above but gives exact size to specified tolerance. Used with gages, measuring wires, optical flats.
